the summer's getting older
i imagine just about everybody in portland has a favorite bridge. this is mine. when you drive east over it, if the sky is clear enough, the arches almost perfectly frame mt. hood. i think it's mt. hood, anyway. then there's the park they built underneath the bridge, around its massive concrete supports. beautiful stuff.

St. John's bridge! That's my favorite, too.
